Woto cookie policy

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small file that the site you visit stores on your device. This policy also covers other ways of storing or reading information on your device, such as the browser’s local storage (localStorage and sessionStorage).

Work & Move SRL, which operates Woto, is responsible for this processing. Essential cookies do not require your consent; all the others are only set after you consent, purpose by purpose.

2. Your consent

On your first visit, a banner lets you accept everything, refuse everything or choose purpose by purpose. No purpose is ticked by default and no non-essential cookie is set before you choose.

Your choice is kept for six months. After that, or if the list of purposes or partners changes, we ask you again. Each choice is recorded anonymously (random identifier, date, banner version and choice per purpose) so that we can prove it.

3. Essential cookies

They are needed for the site to work and cannot be turned off:

• sb-…-auth-token (and its parts .0, .1…) – Woto, hosted by Supabase – keeps you signed in to your account – 400 days;
• sb-…-auth-token-code-verifier – Woto, hosted by Supabase – secures a sign-in in progress (by email or through a third-party account) – 400 days at most, deleted once signed in;
• PARAGLIDE_LOCALE – Woto – remembers the site language – 400 days;
• USER_LOCALE_PREF – Woto – remembers the language of your professional space – 1 year;
• woto_consent – Woto – remembers your cookie choices – 6 months.

4. Audience measurement

• muxData – Mux, Inc. (United States) – visitor and session identifier to measure video audience and playback quality – 1 year.

Without your consent, the video player does not use this cookie: plays are counted without a persistent identifier, to show sellers how many views their videos get.

5. Meta advertising

• _fbp – Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. – recognises your browser to measure our ads and show you Woto cars on Facebook and Instagram – 90 days;
• _fbc – Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. – remembers the Meta ad you clicked – 90 days.

These cookies are only set with your consent to Meta advertising.

6. Google advertising

• _gcl_au – Google Ireland Ltd. – measures how well our Google ads perform – 90 days.

This cookie is only set with your consent to Google advertising. Without it, Google tags are told that you refused (“Consent Mode”).

7. Browser local storage

This information stays on your device and is not sent to us. It remembers settings you made yourself:

• media-chrome-pref-volume, media-chrome-pref-muted, media-chrome-pref-subtitles-lang – video player – volume, mute and subtitle language – until you clear the site’s data;
• illicar-reels-sound – Woto – sound on or off in short videos – until you clear the site’s data;
• verify-email-banner-dismissed – Woto – email confirmation reminder closed – until the tab is closed;
• mapbox.eventData… – Mapbox – technical identifier of the map shown on a professional’s page – until you clear the site’s data.

8. Changing or withdrawing your consent

The “Manage cookies” link at the bottom of every page reopens your choices at any time. Once you have consented, the “Withdraw my consent” link withdraws it in one click: the non-essential cookies already set on woto.be are then deleted.

You can also delete cookies from your browser settings.

9. Contact

For any question about cookies or your personal data, write to rgpd@woto.be. Our privacy policy describes your rights and how to exercise them.
